JCI NIGERIA MEMBER DONATES A 5-ROOM BLOCK TO NIGERIAN PRISON SERVICE IN UYO

It was indeed an exciting atmosphere on Friday, 27th April, 2012 at the official handing over and commissioning of a renovated 5-Room Block project donated to the Nigerian Prison Service by a JCI member who is undergoing NYSC in Akwa Ibom State, Mr Churchill Chibuzor Anaduaka...

In his welcome address, the Controller of Prison, Akwa Ibom State Mr C.C Ahaotu said the building has been abandoned since after the Civil War and several Government efforts to renovate it failed continually. He was indeed full of praise to God and thanked the NYSC member Mr Churchill for this massive project.

The NYSC State Coordinator, Akwa Ibom State remarked that Mr. Churchill had also built a VIP toliet for his fellow Corps members during the 3weeks Orientation in camp and this donation of a block of building to the Prison Service is another milestone to confirm that Mr. Churchill love service to humanity.


After, the project commissioning, the Deputy Controller of Prison also appealed to other Corps members and Organisations to assist the Prison service with soaps and other toiletries as inmates are really in need of them. Again, he said conducting training and seminars to empower the minds of the inmates to will be appreciated.

However, JCI Nigeria was given special recognition and Mr Churchill did his best to project JCI in a very positive light when he was given the opportunity to speak at the event. 



Mr. Anduaka also emphasized that the 2012 JCI NIGERIA Presidential Theme-Reviving Our Heritage and Securing Our Future motivated him to embark on such a project notwithstanding his monthly allowance.
